You aren't the richest person
in the world. You are probably an average,
hard-working person, working 40 or more hours per
week, but not having a whole lot to show for it at
the end of the week. The reason I know this is
because this is the description of almost everyone
who begins their attempt at making money online.
Based on this information, you may be pleased to
know there is a way to start earning money online
with no money down, and no start-up costs. I'll tell
you how you can start making money online by writing
a blog.
Blogging - An Intro
Blogging is one of the best ways to get started
pulling some spare cash in because of two reasons:
1. You get somewhere to post affiliate links, and
avoid the very expensive Pay Per Click
engines...these are just too expensive. 2. You avoid
having to learn HTML.
Actually, there is a third good point as well...blogging
is free. There are many free blog sites sprouting up
all over the internet which will give you a home to
place your affiliate links. Affiliate links are
links that connect to someone else's product using a
special code that is assigned to you. Every time
someone reads your blog, clicks on your affiliate
link and makes a purchase, you make money.
Blogging Attracts Traffic
The trick to making the most money possible is to
get lots of people to read your website. The great
thing about blogs is that you don't have to worry
much about this, since blogs are already crawled by
the search engines. This means that you are
guaranteed placement. The only concern for you is to
make sure you write lots of articles since the more
you write, the more chance you will be found in the
search results. People with their own websites not
only have to worry about getting writing content for
their site, they also have to worry about getting
listed. You're one up already.
Multiple Streams Of Income
The best way to make money (and the way most people
get started) is to show Google Adsense ads on your
blog. Basically, you place a few advertisements on
your blog for Google and every time someone clicks
one, you get a small amount of money. You aren't
usually losing any visitors with this because people
won't usually click them unless they are done
looking at your blog, or weren't going to buy
anything anyway.
Word Of Mouth Profits
The best opportunity for writing a blog is to place
affiliate links on it. Like I described above, these
links make you money every time someone clicks and
purchases the product you link to. You usually
aren't making small amounts of money
here...affiliate links can be quite lucrative!
Choose Your Topics Wisely
The best topic for you to write about is something
that you already know about. You should know your
topic well enough that you are never stuck for ideas
to write about. The worst thing you can do is to
pick a topic that you exhaust your ideas within a
day or two. There's simply no point to even begin
those kinds of topics.
A One Man Gang
The real trick to making money with blogs is simple
math. If you find a way to make $20 per day, you
should try to do the same thing 20 times. This would
mean you were now making $400 per day. This is where
the real money is. The problem is that if you do it
wrong, you will get banned by either your blog host,
or worse, the search engines. This will guarantee
that you get no visitors, which guarantees no
profits.
Rob Benwell has written an eBook entitled Blogging
to the Bank and he shows you how to do it the right
way, which will save you the frustration and time of
having written a blog for a month, only to have it
removed by your blogging host or search engine. I've
got additional information on this eBook on my main
website, http://www.makingmoneyman.com.
