Search and replace in multiple files!
Search and replace text in a complete folder, including subfolders. Automatically replace names, numbers, phrases, or complete files. For example, update a formatting throughout your website, change a price in many documents at once, or replace a description in all fields of a database. It is also possible to replace a text with the contents of a whole file.
Completely automate replacing text from a batch file. Control each replacement in a streamlined replace window. Commands like 'Replace All', 'Replace All in This File', or 'Skip This File' will help you to quickly go through a large number of files. A preview window displays the context around the found text. You will always see the current search and replace phrase, the number of files searched, and how often the text has been found and replaced so far.
Search case sensitive or 'whole words only' to narrow your search. Use a filter to include or exclude certain file types. Search speed is highly optimized so replacing is a breeze.

This powerful tool provides search and replace operations across multiple ASCII (text, HTML etc.) files. Actual Search & Replace works under Windows 95/98/Me/2000/NT/XP/Server 2003 operation system.
You can find files by specifying the path, name masks, and a query. You can search documents for a phrase or several words, multiline or regular expression and use the search engines style queries.
Actual Search & Replace displays abstracts from the searched files and highlights the search words/phrases in them. The program allows to find files within the previous search results. Once you find the documents, you can replace, insert, and delete text in them.
The preliminary search feature, ability to undo the operations and files backup help users to control the files modification process.
Files can be filtered by their size and last modification date.
You can save the report about the found files and detailed information about the occurrences found in them.
Actual Search & Replace can be used also as a command line utility.

"Advanced Replace Tools" (ART) is an advanced text replacement utility program that webmasters, programmers (and everybody who uses computers) will find essential. The time saved by using this program can pay for itself in one hour (or less) of billable client work.
Imagine that you need to replace text in hundreds of files. It would take many hours to do this work manually. ART resolves tedious editing tasks in a few minutes. ART automates repetitive changes for you.
ART streamlines many tedious editing and text change functions. The program searches for, and replaces, both text and binary strings (in files and in program code).
ART also can batch replace text and binary strings in files that are located either on local disk drives, or, on a network.
ART's File Browser Utility allows users to specify a great number of files before processing. This file browser uses either a built-in or a plug-in utility.
ART's Finder Utility allows users to search through documents by file mask, by date, by file size, by attribute and even by text string. This search process is similar to that used in an Internet search engine.
The Replacer Utility allows users to insert, replace or remove entire fragments of text. Text can consist of more than one line of code, and text can exist in multiple files. The Batch Replacer is a multi-string search-and-replace filter. This filter can find strings in files and replace them with whatever text you specify. Both text and binary files can be processed by the program.
